New beginnings!

Hello everyone!
My name is Arthur. I am 20 years young and currently a student at McGill looking into finance with a passion for making ridiculous meals and listening to electronic music. I never use recipes unless I am baking so everything varies (some better than others). I grew up with a mother (my hero!) with a serious passion for experimentation in the kitchen which in hindsight is an amazing thing and really shaped my culinary taste.  Going through life following a recipe keeps things steady and tasty. However, saying goodbye to the monotonous list of ingredients and preparation methods leaves you out of your comfort zone and into the world of excitement/failure and the possibility of outrageously brilliant tastes and sensations.  This blog will be updated with some of the meals I make in my quaint kitchen and with some of the music I am currently listening to because frankly, food and house (haus) go hand-in-hand!

As your sister who is known to whip up anything from breakfast muffins with every imaginable thing in them, a mean thai noodle dish, and a lemon meringue pie on the fly, I, too, enjoy a bit of a house session whilst getting creative in the kitchen... However, I would add that a REAL cookout isn't complete without a glass of fine wine in the other hand... it helps for thinking out of the box, feeling more liberal with your ratios, and gives you that little bit of liquid courage that you need to try the dish that you never thought you could attempt given the ingredients left in your kitchen....
